CORN FLAKES CHAT

A healthy, low calorie chat … which I would indulge in every day. Chat which contains fruits, vegetables …and entirely different and yummy. Its full of health benefits. I think it can be eaten at any time of the day. I cant wait to post this recipe.. so here it is

 

         INGREDIENTS:

         For combined sweet & green chutney :

  • Coriander leaves/Hara dhania – 1/4 cup
  • Mint leaves/pudina – 8 – 10
  • Green chilli – 1
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida/ hing – few pinches
  • Roasted cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
  • Tamarind pulp – 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar (sugar free ) – 1 tbsp ( I have used Natura)
  • Salt to taste

 

        Other things :

  • Corn flakes – 1 cup
  • Chopped & boiled potato – 1 big
  • Sprouted & cooked chick peas/black chana – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped cucumber – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomato – 1 big
  • Pomegranate seeds – 1/4 cup
  • Curds – 1/4 cup
  • Coriander leaves to sprinkle

 

        PROCEDURE:

  • Mix all the ingredients under the heading sweet & green chutney and grind to a fine paste
  • combine potato, chick peas, cucumber, tomato and pomegranate seeds
  • Now mix the ground chutney into it
  • Just at the time of serving, add the corn flakes
  • Quickly mix lightly… pour curds on it… sprinkle some coriander leaves
  • Serve immediately otherwise it tends to become soggy
