POTATO / ALOO / ALOOGEDDE DOSAY/DOSA

What an idea ! making dosa/dosay using potato. I learnt it from a TV cookery show. Its an instant one I can say as it can be made immediately after one or two hours of soaking. Once in a while we can definitely make it and it tastes different also.

 

 

        Ingredients :

  • Rice -1&1/2 cups
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Potato – 1 big (boiled)
  • Onion – 1/2 cup (chopped)
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Green chilli – 2 or according to the taste
  • Ginger  – 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to roast dosa/dosay

 

 

        PROCEDURE :

  • Soak rice and fenugreek seeds for 1 to 2 hours in enough water
  • Drain all the water and grind rice, fenugreek seeds and boiled potato adding little water and transfer to a container
  • In the same jar add green chilli, onion, ginger and grind to a fine paste
  • Combine both ground paste, salt and cumin seeds together well
  • Make dosa/dosay smearing little oil on it
  • Serve hot with any chutney
