Anything mixed with Beetroot gets this pink color, so I named it like this. Very tasty and healthy with the goodness of whole wheat, Beetroot and red carrot. Sometimes it is better to use vegatables in pureed or grated form with roti’s/ paratha’s etc. In that way we can use more quantity of vegetables. This one I tried recently, but from now I’m going to prepare it very often. Here is the recipe for making pink paratha.



        Ingredients :

  • Whole wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Beetroot – 1 medium sized
  • Red carrot – 1 medium sized
  • Green chilli paste – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • oil to roast paratha


        PROCEDURE :

  • Wash, Peel and grate beetroot and carrot
  • Now mix everything except oil and knead into a soft dough
  • Take a portion of the dough, first roll it in round shape, apply little oil and fold it like triangle
  • Repeat the same with remaining dough
  • Roast on both the sides on a heated tawa
  • Serve with any subji or chutney or curry
