GINGER / ADARAK / HASI SHUNTI RAITA

Ginger raita is also known as digestive raita. It is consumed at the beginning of the lunch with a very small quantity of rice, then we proceed with other dishes. It is said that when we are indulging in a heavy lunch, this helps for better digestion. Generally also we enjoy this with white rice.

 

     

      Ingredients :

  • Grated ginger – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Ghee – 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

 

        PROCEDURE :

  • Heat ghee, add mustard seeds n when it splutter add grated ginger and saute for one or two minutes
  • Take out and let it cool a bit, then add salt and curd
  • Mix well and serve
