LENTIL / DAL RAITA / BELE RAITA

This is a kind of raita which we relish with rice during summer. A very simple recipe with few ingredients. The awesome Rasam rice and Lentil raita are the best combination. Can also be eaten with rotis, Paratha along with vegetable salad.

 

 

 

 

        Ingredients :

  • Pigeon Pea/ arahar dal / togaribele – 1 cup (cooked)
  • Curd – 1 cup or as needed
  • Salt to taste

 

        For tempering :

  • Oil – 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Green chilli – 1 big
  • Asafoetida – 2 to 3 pinches

 

 

        PROCEDURE :

  • Prepare tempering using all the ingredients under the heading ” for tempering “
  • Add it to the cooked dal
  • Add salt and curd , mix well and serve
