CABBAGE GREEN PEAS SUBJI / YELEKOSU BATANI PALYA

A very simple, easy, less spicy palya made whenever only rasam is prepared. It goes well with poori, roti, chapati etc. We like to eat it mixed with rice also.

 

 

 

 

        Ingredients :

  • Chopped cabbage – 2 cups
  • Green peas – 1/2 cup
  • Oil – 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Balck gram – 1/2 tbsp
  • Green chilli ( chopped ) – 1 big
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Grated fresh coconut – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  •  Salt to taste
  • water to cook vegetables

 

         PROCEDURE :

  • Steam both the vegetables with little water
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, bengal gram, black gram, green chilli, curry leaves one by one
  • Add steamed vegetables and add salt
  • Mix everything well and take out
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves and coconut and serve
