MAIZE FLOUR IDLY / MAKKI KA ATTA / MUSUKINA JOLADA HITTINA IDLY

Today I used maize flour in another healthy way. Maize is a good source of Vitamins, Minerals and dietary fiber. I wanted to try this Idly since long time. I made simple coconut chutney with it, but can be eaten with any chutney. Its very simple, quick and fuss free to prepare with very few ingredients and it is very filling and yummy

 

 

 

 

        Ingredients :

  • Maize flour – 1 cup
  • Green chilli paste – 1 tsp or  as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Hot water to knead the dough

 

        PROCEDURE :

  • Combine well maize flour, chilli paste and salt
  • Prepare stiff dough using hot water
  • Knead the dough really well
  • Pinch a portion of the dough, put it in the squeezer and squeeze on Idly plate
  • Steam for 10 to 12 minutes
  • Serve with any chutney
