SWEET POTATO RAITA / SIHI GENASINA RAITA

One more type of raita which goes well with any type of roti or can be used as accompaniment for lunch. We normally like to eat it with spicy rice rotti or rice

 

 

 

         Ingredients :

  • Sweet potato – 1 big
  • Curd – 1 cup or as needed
  • Salt to taste

 

        For tempering :

  • Ghee – 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Bengal gram – 1/2 tbsp
  • Black gram – 1 tsp
  • Whole red chilli – 2 to 4 nos.,

 

        PROCEDURE :

  • Wash, peel, cut and boil sweet potato and let it cool completely
  • Make tempering with the ingredients under the heading ‘ for tempering ‘
  • Add curd and salt to the cooked sweet potato
  • Pour the tempering and combine everything well and serve
