PINEAPPLE POHA / ANANAS AVALAKKI

I came across this recipe in a magazine. I definitely wanted to try this as it is simple, easy with very few ingredients and it is also quick. To make this recipe you should choose sweet Pineapple

 

 

 

        Ingredients :

  • Beaten rice / Poha – 1 cup
  • Pineapple Juice – 1 cup
  • Almond Paste – 1/4 cup
  • Cashew nuts – 8 to 10
  • Pineapple chopped – 1/2 cup
  • Ghee – 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron strands – few

 

PROCEDURE : 

  • Wash the Poha thoroughly, drain all the water, add pineapple juice to it and keep it covered for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Heat ghee add cashew nuts and take out from the flame
  • Now add Almond paste to the Poha… mix well
  • Pour the ghee and cashew nuts on it and mix in chopped pineapple
  • Sprinkle few Saffron strands on it and serve
