SAGO / SABUDANA BUTTER MILK

Yet another buttermilk… a cold and refreshing beverage on a hot summer day,  flavoured with roasted cumin powder and the main additional ingredient used is Sago / sabudana. With very few ingredients like cooked sabudana, salt, cumin and coriander leaves a special buttermilk will be ready.

 

 

 

        Ingredients : 

  • Sago / sabudana – 1/4 cup cooked
  • Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli Paste – 1/4 tsp or less according to taste
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Curd  – 1 cup
  • Water – 1&1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

 

 

        PROCEDURE :

  • Take curd and water in a blender jar and blend it
  • Now add all the other ingredients except sago / sabudana and just pulse the blender for few seconds
  • Transfer it to the container and add cooked sago / sabudana
  • Pour into glasses … its ready to serve

 

      NOTE : Chilled curd & water can be used OR  Ice cubes can be used OR you can also chill the buttermilk in the refrigerator and serve later

You can also add more water if required to thin the buttermilk
