MENTHYA SOPPU / FENUGREEK LEAVES + WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR POORI

Though it is a deep fried recipe…it also has the goodness of whole wheat flour & fenugreek leaves ! It s very simple and easy recipe with very few ingredients. We can make once in a while.  I do it at least once in every winter season ie… when fresh fenugreek leaves are available. So let us check the recipe now

 

    Ingredients :

  • whole wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Fenugreek leaves/Methi – 2 cups
  • Red chilli flakes – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying the pooris
  • Rice flour for dusting

 

     PROCEDURE :

  • Mix together wheat flour, methi, red chilli flakes and salt well
  • Knead a firm dough using required amount of water
  • Roll the pooris by dusting it with rice flour
  • Heat oil and deep fry the pooris
  • Serve hot with any accompaniment (today I served it with Hing aloo)
