YELEKOSU ROTTI-PARATHA / BAND GOBHI / CABBAGE PARATHA-ROTTI

During winter we get very fresh and green cabbage here in Gurgaon, So obviously very often it is made during winters. It has a special aroma and taste. I make it in simple way by mixing grated cabbage with whole wheat flour. It is easy to make and we can pack this for lunch box as well.

    Ingredients :

  • Whole wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Grated Cabbage – 1&1/2 cups
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 3 to 4 or according taste
  • Curry Leaves – 1/4 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
  • Grated fresh coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water required to knead the dough
  • Oil to roast the Rotti/Paratha

    PROCEDURE :

  • Gather all the ingredients except Oil, and knead into a smooth soft dough using required amount of water and rest it for 10 minutes
  • Pinch a portion of the dough, spread it evenly and thin on a butter paper or rotti Plate or on the tawa
  • Roast the rotti/Paratha on both the sides while smearing little oil
  • Serve hot with any kind of chutney or  subji/Palya or curry
