HOW TO MAKE PANEER AT HOME / HOME MADE PANEER

Making Paneer at home is very easy, it is made by curdling the milk. For curdling we can use either lemon juice or curd or vinegar, But I always use only Lemon juice, we just need to add right amount of lemon juice. I forgot to take the step wise pics, I shall upload it soon.

     Ingredients : 

  • Milk – 1&1/2 ltr
  • Lemon Juice – 2 to 2&1/2 tbsp
  • Strainer
  • Muslin clothe or Paneer making container

    PROCEDURE :

  • Bring milk to boil on medium flame, stir it once in a while to avoid burning
  • When it starts boiling well, add lemon juice stirring slowly
  • Now the milk starts curdling, turn off the fire …stir for a while and transfer it to the strainer and rinse it under running water to remove the sourness of the lemon
  • Transfer it to the Paneer making container and keep any bowl or plate under it to collect the drained whey and place any heavy object on the top of it to get the paneer set well
  • If you are using muslin clothe, then transfer the curdled milk into it and tie a knot and hang it for half an hour to one hour
  • Then keep knotted muslin clothe in any plate or container with hole and place some heavy object on it to get it set well
  • After one hour or so the Paneer will be ready to use or you can refrigerate it for further use
