RAW MANGO/MAAVINAKAAYI CHUTNEY

Just made this easy, simple, tongue tickling raw mango chutney. It is made with few simple ingredients like roasted fenugreek seeds, green chilli and salt and tempered with mustard seeds and hing. It is very quick to make and we can have it along with white rice or with any rotis/Parathas/dosay etc. Explained with step wise procedure pics

     Ingredients :

  • Grated raw mango – 1 cup (I don’t peel the skin)
  • Green chilli – 4 to 6
  • Roasted fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Jaggery – a small piece
  • Salt to taste

     For Tempering :

  • Oil – 1/2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/8 tsp
  • Hing – two fat pinches

    PROCEDURE :

  • Grind together all the ingredients to a smooth paste, without adding water
  • Prepare tempering and add it into ground mango mixture
  • Combine everything well and chutney is ready
