This is an age old evening/after school snack idea from my native place….Shikaripura. You can serve this in the form light snack too if there happens to be a sudden guests at home. We use thin variety (Paper avalakki) of beaten rice to prepare hing avalakki. Both brown or white paper avalakki can be used. Beaten rice is called as avalakki in Kannada. Only few easily available ingredients are used in its preparation. Very quick to make, yummy to eat and healthy too. It can also be served as tea/coffee time snack. Here is the recipe for one more dish made with beaten rice/avalakki.
