WHOLEWHEAT CHOCOCHIP COOKIES

This recipe has been earlier tried by my son using Maida, it was yummy, Original recipe was also with Maida, but I wanted to make this in slightly more healthier version, so this time I tried this using whole wheat flour.
It came out equally yummy and delicious. Slowly I’m getting used to baking. This recipe is very simple with few ingredients.
Ingredients : measuring cup used – 200 ml
- Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
- Melted Butter – 3/4 cup or 8 tbsp or 115 gms
- Powdered sugar – 3/4 cup ( I used brown sugar )
- Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Cocoa Powder – 1 tbsp
- Milk – 1 to 2 tbsp ( 1&1/2 tbsp was sufficient for me )
- Choco chips – 1/4 cup plus 2-3 tbsp for sprinkling on the top of the biscuit
PROCEDURE :
- Preheat the oven at 180 degree C at Convection mode
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy
- Sieve flour, Cocoa Powder and baking powder in a bowl
- Mix all the ingredients together and knead a soft dough
- Take a portion of the dough and make it to the desired shape OR
- Roll the dough and cut into cookies with the help of biscuit cutter, sprinkle choco chips and press a little
- Place cookies on low rack and bake at 180 degree C at convection mode for 15 – 20 minutes or till tester comes out clean
- Serve with Tea/Coffee
