Call it by any name …Huggi (Kannada) or Pongal (Tamil) or Khichdi (Hindi) …it’s a super nutritious and yummy filling food to eat at any time. However it’s been prepared ie…be it with Rava or Beaten rice or rice or Millet … it tastes awesome. If you are also adding vegetables to it then… it’s like  Icing on the cake or sone pe suhaaga !! We all at home very much like this sober yet healthy food. Very much suitable & appropriate dish to eat during winter. I personally like this dish in all the combinations. I have already shared huggi/khara Pongal/Khichdi recipe using Rice and moong dal and semolina/rava/rave huggi/Pongal… so gladly sharing my method of making Beaten rice/Poha Huggi or Pongal or khichdi.
