LENTIL CURD CURRY| DAL RAITA| BELE RAITA

This is a kind of raita which we relish with rice during summer. A very simple recipe prepared with a very few ingredients. Though used as an accompaniment with any kind of huli + anna (sambar rice), rasam rice and Lentil raita are the best combination. This can also be served with roti, chapati, Paratha etc along with any other curry. This is one of my favorite dish to eat mixed with steaming rice.

Ingredients : measuring cup used – 200 ml
- Cooked Pigeon Pea/arahar dal/togaribele – 1/2 cup
- Curd – 1 cup or as needed
- Salt to taste
For tempering :
- Oil – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Green chilli – 1 big
- Asafoetida – 1/8 tsp
PROCEDURE :
- Prepare tempering using all the ingredients under the heading ” for tempering “
- Add it to the cooked dal
- Add salt and curd , mix well and serve
