Paneer Curry and Beetroot carrot stir fry |

Preparing any kind of dish with home made fresh Paneer is an absolute delight. Today I made Paneer and then prepared a simple curry using the same fresh Paneer, which goes well with Phulka, tandoori roti, Paratha etc. I could not take the process pic of Paneer this time as I was in a hurry ! Soon shall post it separately with step wise pics. Now below is the recipe for Paneer curry.
Ingredients :
- Paneer – around 250 gms
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Cloves – 3 or 4
- Cinnamon – 1/2 ” stick
- Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Ginger – 1/2 tbsp
- Green chilli – 2
- Almonds – 10 to 12
- Poppy seeds – 1&1/2 tsp
- Tomato – 2 big
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp or to taste
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Fresh methi leaves or Kasuri methi – 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
PROCEDURE :
- Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee add cloves, cinnamon,black pepper, ginger, green chilli, almonds, poppy seeds and chopped tomato and saute well till raw smell goes
- Now add red chilli powder and turmeric powder, mix well, remove from the fire and let it cool and then grind it into a fine paste
- Heat remaining 1/2 tbsp ghee, add cumin seeds and when it splutter add fresh methi or kasuri methi, ground paste and stir it for a while
- Then add Paneer cubes, mix everything well, put salt, sugar, and coriander leaves
- Combine everything well and remove from the heat and Serve
