Creamy tomato soup made absolutely in my own way without adding any kind of thickeners like, oats, corn flour, cream, butter, yogurt, lentil, rice flour etc or any kind of colour enhancers. So how do we get that creamy texture ? And the answer is nuts.
Yes…. since long time I was trying to make my own kind of tomato soup, but every time something or the other would not be right (in my point of view) and I could never get that fulfilment !
But it just happened in this winter with the first attempt only !! and I’m very glad that I could do it finally. Already made few times in the same method putting same proportions of ingredients.
Tried making the soup by doubling the ingredients and the soup turned out to be the same. So here presenting my kind of creamy rich soup recipe, which is going to be eternal tomato soup recipe at my place.
I insist you all to make this tasty, tempting, appetising tomato soup and enjoy in this cold season and let me know how you liked this amalgam – will be waiting for your wonderful feedback.

- Water – 2 cups
- Ghee – 2 tsp
- Grated ginger – 1 tsp
- Black pepper corns – 4 nos,,
- Almonds – 4 nos.,

- Jaggery powder – 1/2 tbsp
- Rock salt – 1 tsp
PROCEDURE :
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker put ginger, black pepper corns, almonds and cashews saute once, then add in the tomatoes cut into four parts, saute again
Now add in 2 cups of water, salt and jaggery, when the mixture starts boiling, close the lid and give it 2 whistles (2 whistles are enough in my cooker, but you can do accordingly)
Once the pressure is released, transfer the cooked mixture to a strainer and collect the stalk in a container
Let it cool completely , then grind to a fine paste in a blender, again pass it through the strainer and let it come to boil again
Remove from the heat, pour into the soup bowl and enjoy steaming, soothing tomato soup with your family
