Recent update – This time ie last evening I tried it along with cooked fresh green chickpeas, and the rest followed the same procedure as earlier/below
Ingredients : measuring cup used – 250 ml
For combined sweet & green chutney :
- Coriander leaves/Hara dhania – 1/4 cup
- Mint leaves/pudina – 8 – 10
- Green chilli – 1
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida/ hing – few pinches
- Roasted cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
- Tamarind pulp – 1/2 tbsp
- Dates syrup or dates paste – 1 to 2 tbsp (adjust)
- Salt to taste
Other ingredients :
- Corn flakes – 1 cup
- Chopped & boiled potato – 1 big
- Sprouted & cooked chick peas/black chana – 1/2 cup
- Chopped cucumber – 1/2 cup
- Chopped tomato – 1 big
- Pomegranate seeds – 1/4 cup
- Curds – 1/4 cup
- Coriander leaves to sprinkle
PROCEDURE :
- Gather together all the ingredients listed under the heading ‘for sweet & green chutney’ and grind into a fine paste
- Combine potato, chick peas, cucumber, tomato and pomegranate seeds in a bowl and now put the ground paste in and mix everything well with a light hand
- Just at the time of serving, you can add the corn flakes to this
- So quickly mix lightly, spread few spoons of curds on it, sprinkle some coriander leaves and serve immediately otherwise corn flakes tends to become soggy
