QCM stands for “quicker cooking method”, which is the age old method of making dishes by gathering all the ingredients together in a cooker and cooking in one shot ! the best example for this is, our Karnataka special dish “bisibelebath” ie…. putting everything in one pot and cooking them together, be it in a pressure cooker or in an open vessel (which our elders used to do). It is obviously very time saving, energy saving method and more over the food prepared in this method is more tasty & flavorful. Since few years I make many dishes/huli(sambar) in this method only, So it has become a regular thing at my place now. Here a 3 or 5 litre pressure cooker is more than enough, as we are doing it in small quantity.
Today’s sagu is absolutely in the method of my personal preference, the set of vegetables used are also of my most favourite. I don’t put tempering in this particular sagu, but if you wish you can definitely add it. I have posted the recipe of sagu kofta curry , green sagu , mixed vegetable sagu , seemebadanekayi/chou-chou/chayote squash sagu. The below mentioned quantity serves 4 people.
