Sweet corn vermicelli bath |

One of the simple, easiest and quick breakfast recipe using sweet corn along with semolina/wheat vermicelli. Absolutely learner’s/beginners/bachelors recipe.
Corn is a good source of fiber. It is loaded with phytochemicals that promote healthy vision. It aids in weight loss and good digestion because of the insoluble fiber in it. As we know diets high in fiber, can help to lower the cholesterol and regulate blood sugar.
Besides, corn is a good source of vitamins and minerals and also I have never come across people who doesn’t like sweet corn, all of us would like to relish on it in some form

Ingredients : measuring cup used – 250 ml
- Semolina/wheat vermicelli – 1/2 cup (roasted)
- Water – 1 cup
- Sweet corn – 1 cup (cook it in 1&1/2 cup of water)
- Onion – 1 cup
- Tomato – 1 cup
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Ginger – 1/2 tbsp
- Green chilli – 2
- Curry leaves – 2 strings
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
PROCEDURE :
- If you are using non roasted vermicelli then you need to roast it first by adding little oil and then proceed with the recipe
- Heat water and cook sweet corn till soft, once the water is boiling, cover the vessel and turn the heat to medium, the corn will be cooked perfectly
- Slice the onion and tomato, chop green chilies
- Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, green chili and curry leaves and saute for a while
- Now add in onion, tomato and coriander leaves and fry everything well, then add in cooked corn and required salt, mix well
- Add in water and turmeric powder and allow it to come to boil
- Add in semiya/vermicelli and stir well, turn the heat to low, cover and let it cook till all the water is evaporated
- Serve hot
