Its an old recipe, which I found today by chance in one of my old books. I have made it before for many a times , this time I took the photos to upload it here.

It came out very yummy, its easy , filling and healthy as well. More than anything else it’s an instant one…that too without fire. This is best suitable for evening snacks quick bite.

Ingredients :

For chutney :

  • Mint leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
  • Grated fresh coconut – 2 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 2 or 3 OR according to taste, but make it little spicy
  • Tamarind piece – 1/2 “
  • Salt to taste

Other Ingredients :

  • Bread slices – 3 slices per plate ( I used Brown bread )
  • Curd – 1/4 to 1/2 cup
  • Fruit Jam – 1 tsp ( I used Mixed fruit jam )
  • Red chilli powder – a pinch
  • Spicy boondi or sev – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – one or two pinches to add to the curd

PROCEDURE :

  • Grind together all the ingredients under the heading ‘ for chutney ‘ to a fine paste
  • Take out the brown edges of bread
  • Spread the chutney on one slice and Fruit jam on another slice of bread
  • Now in a plate first place the chutney applied slice, Then Plain slice on it and Jam applied slice on the top
  • Pour curd mixed with salt on it and sprinkle red chilli powder
  • Now Sprinkle boondi or sev
  • Finally sprinkle coriander leaves
  • It’s ready to serve
