Cucumber Curd Curry | Southekayi Sasive |

ಸೌತೇಕಾಯಿ ಸಾಸಿವೆ | ಸೌತೇಕಾಯಿ ಮೊಸರು ಸಾಸಿವೆ |
This raita or southekayi sasive is specially made as an accompaniment to go with Bisibelebath which is one of the most favourite rice dish across Karnataka.
But now a days this is being paired along with any kind of spiced rice preparation or any kind of stuffed paratha, chapati , roti and rotti as this goes very well with anything.
Ingredients : measuring cup used – 200 ml
- Cucumber – 2 cups ( fine chopped )
- Green chilli – 1 to 2
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Grated fresh coconut – 1/3 cup
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
PROCEDURE :
- Grind together coconut, mustard seeds, green chillies, turmeric powder adding only 2 or 3 tbsp of chopped cucumber
- Add the ground paste to the remaining chopped cucumber and combine well
- Add salt and curd, mix again and serve
