ಬೀಟ್ರೂಟ್ ನೀರು ಮಜ್ಜಿಗೆ | ಬೀಟ್ರೂಟ್ ನೀರ್ ಮಜ್ಜಿಗೆ |

Very recently I learnt this from Ms. Bijal Parikh, a co-member in one of the food recipes group. I’m always ready to make anything using beetroot, therefore tried it immediately but with little changes.

Sharing the same with you all. Beetroot buttermilk or beetroot neer majjige is a healthy cold beverage. Now this is going to be a regular one at my place during summer. I thank her, for this wonderful drink recipe.

Ingredients : measuring cup used – 250 ml

  • Beetroot (grated) – 1/2 cup
  • Mint leaves – 10
  • Curry leaves – 20 ( I used still more)
  • Curd – 2 cups
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Rock salt – according to taste

PROCEDURE :

  • Blend/grind together Beetroot, Mint leaves, Curry leaves and salt to a fine paste
  • Add curd and water and pulse it again (If you wish, Pass it through a strainer, but I never do)
  • Use curd and water according to the desired consistency
  • Serve chilled or you can use chilled curd and water to serve immediately
