PINEAPPLE RICE FLAKES| ANANAS AVALAKKI

I came across this recipe in a magazine. I definitely wanted to try immediately as this is a simple, easy dish to prepare with very few ingredients and it is also quick make.

Just try and chose sweeter pineapple to prepare this yummy dish. I liked this recipe very much and I insist you all too try this at least once.

Ingredients : measuring cup used – 200 ml

  • Beaten rice / Poha – 1 cup
  • Pineapple Juice – 1 cup
  • Almond Paste – 1/4 cup
  • Cashew nuts – 8 to 10
  • Pineapple chopped – 1/2 cup
  • Ghee – 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron strands – few

PROCEDURE : 

  • Wash the Poha thoroughly, drain all the water, add pineapple juice to it and keep it covered for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Heat ghee add cashew nuts let it turn light golden then remove from the heat
  • Now add Almond paste and pineapple chunks to the rested rice flakes mixture and give it a mix
  • Pour the prepared cashew tempering on it and mix well again
  • Sprinkle few Saffron strands on it and serve
