We all make whole wheat flour and jaggery laddu, or unde, don’t we? It’s a popular treat, especially during festivals. This time, I wanted to try something new, so I made a few changes to improve the sweetness and taste.
Instead of the usual cashew nuts, I used walnuts, which give a nice crunch and add a rich flavor that pairs well with the sweetness of jaggery. The mix of whole wheat flour, jaggery, and walnuts creates a delicious texture and flavor that we really enjoyed.
One more change/twist in the recipe is, I used less jaggery than usual and added date syrup for sweetness in the laddu. It tasted different and delicious. You should try it to believe how good it tasted !
It has all the goodness of whole wheat flour, jaggery, dates, dry coconut, ghee and most importantly walnuts. I was in a hurry and excitement to prepare and taste it as soon as possible, so couldn’t take step by step pictures, but very soon I shall do so and upload the same here
