Sweet corn Pomegranate spicy salad |

ಜೋಳ ದಾಳಿಂಬೆ ಉಸ್ಲಿ | ಮುಸುಕಿನ ಜೋಳ ದಾಳಿಂಬೆ ಸಲಾಡ್ |
Today I’m here to write about one of the colourful, fibre rich, hot, sweet and salty salad recipe which looks very attractive in the plate and you get tempted to taste at least couple of spoons of this salad
Sweet corn pomegranate salad is very easy to make and with very less easily available stuffs at home provided you have already bought sweet corm kernels and the Pomegranate
This tastes tangy therefore children would finish it within no time. This can be served along with lunch or as evening snack. Healthy ,nutritious and tasty dish to eat at any time.
Ingredients : measuring cup used – 250 ml
- Corn kernels – 1 cup
- Pomegranate seeds – 1 cup
For tempering :
- Oil – 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Chopped green chilies – 1 tbsp
- Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
- Grated ginger – 1/2 tbsp
- chopped curry leaves – 1 tbsp
- chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
- Hing/Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp or little less
Other ingredients :
- Grated fresh coconut – 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
PROCEDURE :
- Cook corn kernels till it is soft & keep aside
- Heat oil add all the things under the heading ”for tempering” one by one
- Now add cooked corn kernels and required amount of salt
- Mix well and turn off the flame and add pomegranate seeds
- Add Lemon juice and combine everything well
- Garnish with grated coconut and serve
