This is one of the yummy salad/rasayana among rama navami delicacies. Famously known as tuppbalehannu in Karnataka and southern parts of India, basically it is made using banana, jaggery, ghee, elaichi powder, honey and fresh coconut.
But this time I made it in a different way… using date syrup in place of jaggery & honey. During summer this is made regularly as it is a healthy rasayana too to relish on in this hot weather.
This is the basic & authentic recipe of how to make banana rasayana, but soon I would also post the recipe of adding mango to this.

Ingredients :
- Banana – 3 nos.,
- Dates syrup/paste – 1 tbsp
- Ghee – 1/4 tsp
- Grated fresh coconut – 1/4 cup
- Cardamom powder – a generous pinch
PROCEDURE :
- Wash, peel and cut bananas into pieces
- Add in all the remaining ingredients and mix well
- Banana rasayana is ready to relish
