Avalakki huggi | Rice Flakes Savoury Pongal |

ಅವಲಕ್ಕಿ ಹುಗ್ಗಿ | ಅವಲಕ್ಕಿ ಖಾರ ಪೊಂಗಲ್ |
Call it by any name …Huggi (Kannada) or Pongal (Tamil) or Khichdi (Hindi) …it’s a super nutritious and yummy filling food to eat on any day any time.
Prepare it in any combination ie…be it with Rava or Beaten rice or rice or Millet … it tastes awesome. If you are also adding mixed vegetables like beans, carrot, fresh peas, fresh groundnut, hyacinth beans (avarekayi) etc to it then… it’s like Icing on the cake or sone pe suhaga !!
We all at home very much like this avalakki huggi, which is sober yet healthy food. Very much suitable & appropriate dish to eat during winter. I personally like this dish in all the combinations.
