7 CUP BURFI ….made absolutely in my way

One of the easiest burfi recipe which tastes the yummiest ! Trust me one can never stop at one piece !! I have made the burfi using raw can sugar, but any kind of sugar can be used and also mine is always a moderate sweet delicacies …so you can always adjust the sweetness as per requirement. Though making this burfi since so many years never shared the recipe here, so today is that perfect day I guess.

There are other burfi recipes like Kaju-badam burfi , Pistachios burfi , Kesar-Pista-coconut burfi which you can have a look. 3 varieties mysore pak recipe is one more another attraction here.

Ingredients : measuring cup used250 ml

  • Gram flour/besan/Kadlehittu – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1/2 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Raw cane sugar – 2 cups
  • Grated fresh coconut – 1&1/2 cup
  • Pistachios (powdered) – 1/2 cup
  • Almond (powdered) – 1/2 cup
  • Seeds/nuts – to sprinkle on the burfi ( I have put melon seeds)

PROCEDURE :

  • Roast the gram flour until warm then remove to a separate plate, in the same kadai put milk and sugar stir for a second
  • Now add in gram flour, coconut, powdered almond & pista, mix everything well and start adding ghee little at a time while stirring continuously
  • Continue to stir until the mixture becomes thick and comes as a whole leaving the edges of the kadai
  • Transfer the whole mixture to a greased or lined tray and spread evenly and sprinkle any seed/nuts of your choice and leave it for 5 minutes, then cut into desired shape & size
