Today ‘m going to let you all know about how to make Kadale hittu or Hurigadale Pancha Kajjaya for naivedya to lord Ganesha, which we offer on Vara Siddhi Vinayaka Vrata or Ganesh chouti or Ganeshana habba

Usually, every year this Kadalehittu Prasada or hurigadale Pancha Kajjaya is made along with other specialties of the day like Karigadubu or Kadubu, modaka, chakkuli and kadale gugguri etc.
Ingredients : measuring cup used – 200 ml
- Hurigadale/roasted Chana – 3/4 cup
- Powdered jaggery – 1/3 cup Or Sugar – 1/4 cup (I always put jaggery)
- Grated dry coconut – 1/2 cup
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Black sesame seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom – 1/4 tsp
PROCEDURE :
- Clean and roast the black sesame seeds in ghee until it releases nice aroma



- Now grind together hurigadale or roasted Chana and sugar/jaggery to a fine powder


- Transfer this to a bowl, Put grated dry coconut, roasted black sesame seeds and cardamom powder


- Combine everything well and the naivedya is ready to be offered to Ganesha
