Kharabath is the most popular breakfast dish in Karnataka. Kharabath is nothing but making Upma by adding a special kind of masala powder and that’s how it tastes different from regular plain Upma.

Actually in hotels in Karnataka it is served as ‘Chow Chow bath’ along with a scoop of Kesari bath and fresh coconut chutney. Very small amount of this masala powder is put into the upma which in turn makes upma very aromatic, colourful, appealing and delicious.

So today I’m going to share the masala powder ingredients in small quantities. You can make and store it so that it can be used as and when necessary.
